What remains after knowledge has been tested by life
I am not surrounded by answers.
I am layered with them.
The formulas across my face are not proof of intelligenceโthey are evidence of time spent wrestling with questions. Each symbol marks something I once thought I understood, then didnโt, then had to relearn in a deeper way. Nothing here was memorized for display. It was lived with. Carried. Allowed to change me.
For a long time, knowledge was loud in me.
I wanted to be right. I wanted clarity. I wanted certainty I could point to and defend. I collected facts like armor. But life has a way of testing what you think you knowโand stripping away what cannot survive experience.
Thatโs when wisdom began.
Wisdom arrived quietly, through restraint. Through pauses. Through moments where speaking less revealed more. I learned that knowing isnโt about having answers readyโitโs about recognizing patterns, honoring tension, and accepting that some truths only reveal themselves when you stop forcing them.
What I know now has passed through failure, contradiction, loss, and humility. It stayed. Thatโs how I know itโs real.
The light on my face isnโt external.
Itโs earned.
Every shadow holds a season where I didnโt understandโwhere confusion, doubt, or pain forced me to slow down and pay attention. Every place the light touches reflects recognition, not revelation. A quiet moment of this is what it was teaching me all along.
I no longer need to explain everything.
I no longer need to prove what I know.
To cast my light isnโt to show how much Iโve learnedโitโs to live in a way that steadies others without trying to convince them. Itโs to let what Iโve integrated speak for itself.
This is the difference Iโve come to understand:
knowledge decorates the mind.
wisdom reshapes the soul.
And thisโthis is what it means to truly know.
